In the spring of 2024, my sister, Chrissy Silverman, and I sat down with Elizabeth Burdette to explore our family’s philanthropic goals. When she introduced us to the Bloom Giving Circle, we were immediately intrigued. Then came the spark: that year’s partner organization was the Mothers Advocacy Project (MAP), a cause we already admired—and one deeply connected to us through Chelsea Sabo, Chrissy’s high school friend. The alignment felt effortless. It felt like fate.

So we attended our very first Bloom Gathering… and we were hooked.

We left that evening inspired—by the mission, by the women in the room, and by the incredible sense of purpose and community. We also saw an opportunity: how could we bring this experience closer to women in our own neighborhoods, north of Atlanta?

When we asked Elizabeth if Bloom had ever considered expanding outside the perimeter, she didn’t hesitate: “YES.”

And just like that, Bloom North ATL was born.

Chrissy and I are incredibly proud to lead Bloom’s first branch chapter and to share the joy of collective giving with women in our local community. Together, we’re extending Bloom’s reach—rooted in generosity, growing through connection, and flourishing in service to women and children across North Atlanta.

Here’s to planting purpose and watching it spread—like wildflowers.
